When mixbus is open plugins feel snappy and smooth and very nice, when playing back audio it retains that smooth performance however it can bog down a bit on larger sessions or how your using certain types of plugins that seem to hog resources.
The non apple silicon version was very choppy and not usable for me. Over time mixbus has been a lot more stable, I decided to give mixbus another shot with 8.1 on my m1 computer. In the past mixbus has been a mixed bag in regards to performance, it’s either buggy, slow, choppy, crashy.
